THE GREAT WAR TRILOGY AND 4 YEAR PROJECT FOR WW1 CENTENARY
Walking 3,000km around WW1 Europe, raising money for charity and publisJuhing a Trilogy of books and poems about the Great War.  The latest title ‘Walking back Through Time’ is available for order at Waterstones.
Having spent 4 years walking around WW1 Battlefields which I also used as charity events, I have recently put together a Trilogy of Books with poems and art. The project known as ‘A Pilgrimage of War and Words’ gives a day-to-day overview of the horrors of war and it is hoped that the books will remind humanity of the sacrifice made during this campaign. My grandad was only 14 when he signed up for this and was still underage on Armistice Day! We will remember them!
I am presently drawing up a separate booklet containing some of these poems. We will look at reading one out each day leading up to the 11th November to commemorate this poignant time.

I have now also completed over 30,000 miles on charity walks over a 25 year period as a fundraiser (roughly 1 walk per year and a 10-day pilgrimage each year for Cornwall Hospice Care in the last decade (10th anniversary this year to the month).

It is also the 20th anniversary since being invited to help our local charity CHC.

I have just completed this year’s charity walks and fundraising for Cornwall Hospice Care and will be handing over a cheque in excess of £2200 raised from our local region of St Day/Carharrack.

THE CORNISH PILGRIMAGE

Walked annually by Robin Moore and his pilgrims; this year Clive Fowkes joined Robin on the 10-day walk from Morwenstow Church to St Michael’s Mount to raise money for CHC. In addition Robin has walked across part of WW1 Europe and held to Harvest Auctions to complete the local fundraising for the Gwennap Region.
